About Us

We would like to give everyone a chance to learn more about us and give you a chance to know us as people and the kind of people we are.

My name is Ryan Wakefield (co-owner and founder of Wakefield's Bullies). One of my goals in life since I discovered this breed as a child was to learn more and one day own one. From hearing horrific things and so much bad media it only made me want to learn more and figure out how such a beautiful animal could be so bad. It wasn’t until I graduated High School and moved out that I was allowed to own one. My family was your typical "Media hype believers." No matter how much research and proof I had, I was told that if I brought one home my pet and me would be finding a home. So me being the understanding person I am I decided it was in my best interest to wait. Once I graduated and moved out, I went on the hunt for what I wanted the most. The day I found my female Trinity I was the happiest I had ever been. First thing I did before I even picked her up was went out and bought every toy I could find, the best bed and crate, and the most beautiful collar I could find. Cause she was my little girl and I wanted the best and most for her.

As time went on Trinity had left us. So it was Tader-Tot and me. With Taders personality and will/drive to do anything he could to please you or make you laugh we finally got my family on the right side. Any time there was bad publicity from un-educated media sales personal my Dad would go crazy and get mad and want to run up to those people and tell them the truth about his grandson that never hurt anyone like the many others.

The end of 2007 I decided to take Tader to Michigan so my sister and her family could meet him. My Brother In-law fell in love immediately with him and wanted to keep him. My sister however was scared, in fear of the things put in her head by bad publicity and the well being of her children. Once Tader was done playing with the kids and wrestling with my brother-in-law, he would come around to get some love from my sister. Since she was scared she wasn’t so affectionate to him. Him being the sensitive type of dog would keep distance from her and instead of jumping in her lap like he would anybody else he would just sit in front of her and let her come around to him.  Needless to say he won her over before we left them.

Now here we are as a family!!!!
